The O-Shot is a medically proven, safe and effective treatment for incontinence. Stress incontinence and urge incontinence are very common problems for women causing embarrassment and hygiene issues. Yet many women, by the time they are in their 30’s, have symptoms of urinary incontinence. This is unfortunate as women have amazing bodies. They give birth to new life yet sometimes this–as well as age–can result in urinary incontinence.
Sue Cressel, NP and Owner of About Face in Bristol, Tennessee, has been personally trained by Dr. Charles Runels, the creator of all of the Vampire procedures–the Vampire Facelift, the Vampire Breast Lift, Vampire Facial, Vampire Hair Restoration and of course, the famous P-Shot for men. Sue is one of the very few O-Shot providers, and she is successful due to her kind, understanding manner and high level of competence. She discusses the O-Shot procedure in greater detail in the video below
Stress incontinence occurs when we laugh, cough, sneeze or exercise causing urine leakage. This is caused by the weakening of the pelvic sphincter muscle typically due to childbirth and aging. Urge incontinence is a strong, overwhelming desire to urinate. The bladder squeezes and the urine is lost, and if one cannot get to the restroom right away, an “accident” ensues.
Therapies include kegal exercises, prescriptions which may cause unpleasant side affects, and/or surgery. However, as discussed in the video, the O-Shot may be a solution for both stress incontinence and urge incontinence. When administering the O-Shot, platelet rich plasma is injected into the treatment area. By separating the body’s own platelet rich plasma from the rest of the blood cells, and then re-injecting this super-charged plasma full of growth factors back into the body, many patients have an almost immediate improvement with urinary incontinence. This is due to the location of the injection of platelet rich plasma on the anterior vaginal wall. The platelet rich plasma (PRP) stimulates collagen formation thus strengthening the tissue beneath a hypermobile urethra.
Because the injection area is numbed prior to the procedure, there is little or no discomfort involved. Likewise, because the platelet rich plasma (PRP) that is injected is taken from the patient’s own blood, this natural procedure does not result in an unpleasant reaction.
The procedure is quick (less than 30 minutes) and may be done in the Bristol About Face office. Following the procedure, patients should be able to return to their normal activities.
